HPGCL Recruitment 2021: Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited has issued a recruitment notification for the vacant posts. A total of 201 Assistant Engineers have been recruited in public sector undertakings for power generation and distribution in the state. Recruitment notification has been issued for the posts of Assistant Engineer in these four government companies, Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited, Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited, Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited and South Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited under the state government. Interested candidates can apply till 8 January 2021. The application process has started on the HPU’s official website, hrpower.org.

Eligibility
Candidate should have passed Bachelor’s degree or Masters degree in trade related to a recognized university or institute. Also, must pass the GATE exam of the year 2019 or 2020.
Candidate should have studied Hindi / Sanskrit at 10th level. Also, the age of the applicant should not be more than 42 years on the last date of application. As per the rules of the state government, the maximum age limit has been relaxed for the candidates of reserved sections of Haryana state.

Selection Process
The total 100 marks prescribed for the selection of Assistant Engineer posts in Haryana Power include shortlisting and socio-economic criteria based on GATE score. The GATE score is set at 80 points and the Socio-Economic Criteria 20 points. Final selection of candidates will be done on the basis of merit list made on both basis.
