OPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2021: Odisha Public Service Commission has released the notification for the recruitment of Assistant Professor vacancies in universities. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online till the due date. The application process will start from 15 February. This recruitment notification was released on 8 February on a total of 504 Assistant Professor posts for various subjects. Eligibility criteria
As per UGC rules, for the recruitment of Assistant Professor, the applicant is required to pass PG degree with minimum 55 percent marks in the relevant subject. Also, the candidate has passed UGC NET or Odisha State Eligibility Test in the concerned subject. Candidates who have completed PhD before 11 July 2009 are also eligible to apply without passing the eligibility test. Please read the detailed notification for more information.

Selection Process
According to the UGC guidelines, shortlisting of candidates will be done for each subject. When the number of vacancies is more than two, then five times the candidates will be shortlisted for interview. For subjects for which there are only one or two vacancies, ten candidates will be shortlisted for interview. Selection will be based on performance in interview only.
Application fee
Candidates will have to pay Rs 400 as application fee. The application fee will not be refundable. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe and Divyang category candidates of Odisha State are exempted from the application fee.
