MHA IB ACIO Tier-1 result: Ministry of Home Affairs, India conducted the Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Examination across the country on 18, 19, and 20 February 2021. Partially, the IB ACIO 2021 results could be announced by the MHA during mid-March or late 2021. Now the successful candidates have to appear in Tier II examination and personal interview.

The IB ACIO 2021 Tier 1 exam is a fairly complex exam. It consists of five parts like Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, Logical / Analytical / Numerical Ability, General Studies and English Language. This is a total paper of 100 marks. It also has a negative marking of 0.25 mark on the wrong answer.

Tier II is a descriptive type paper of 50 marks. Essay (30 marks) and English comprehension and précis writing (20 marks) is the exam pattern for Tier II exam.

MHA has also set the minimum qualifying marks for IB ACIO recruitment. The candidates scoring below these marks are not selected irrespective of their category or any other quota.

It is compulsory to score 17 out of 50

The minimum qualifying marks for the IB Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Tier II examination is 33 percent. It does not matter whether a candidate belongs to any category. You must score 17 out of 50 to be eligible for a personal interview.

Preference for older candidates

If two or more candidates appear to have the same marks through all the stages of the selection process, then preference is given to candidates of higher age for job selection. If the date of birth is also the same then the name starting with the person’s first name will be chosen in alphabetical order.
