The selection process of IBPS PO Recruitment 2020 includes – Online Prelims Exam, Mains Exam and Interview Round. Candidates for IBPS PO Recruitment 2020 will be selected through this three-tier process.

IBPS PO Preliminary Exam 2020 Pattern:
The IBPS PO Preliminary 2020 Examination will be conducted online in objective type multiple choice questions (MCQs) format. There will be questions from three subjects in the exam and there will be different sectional timings for each section. Take a look at the exam pattern of Prelims Exam:

Hindi and English will be the medium of language for Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude. Candidates are required to pass all three sections by obtaining the cut off marks fixed by IBPS in the examination.
There will be negative marking of 1 / 4th or 0.25 marks for each wrong answer and there will be no penalty for the questions left unanswered.
IBPS PO Mains Exam 2020 Pattern:
The IBPS PO 2020 Mains Exam consists of 300 marks objective type multiple choice questions (MCQs) and 25 marks English Language Descriptive Type test. Both objective and descriptive type exam will be conducted online. There will be different sectional timing for each section. Candidates will have to take the Descriptive Type Mains Exam by writing answers on the computer. Let’s have a look at the Descriptive Type Mains Examination-

Candidates are required to pass all sections by obtaining cut off marks which will be decided by IBPS after the examination. There will be negative marking of 1 / 4th or 0.25 marks for each wrong answer solved in objective test.

IBPS PO 2020 Interview:
Candidates who pass both prelims and mains exam will be called for IBPS PO interview round. However, IBPS will only consider the marks obtained by the candidates in the Mains exam.
IBPS PO interview is 100 marks. The minimum qualifying marks for the interview round is:
- Minimum 40% for General / EWS
- Minimum 35% for SC / ST / OBC / PwBD
For IBPS PO 2020 Merit List or Provisional Allocation Final Merit List or IBPS PO Provisional Allotment, marks obtained in IBPS PO Mains and Interview will be considered. Weightage of Mains exam and interview marks will be 80:20 respectively.
