Age Relaxation in EWS Reservation: The relaxation in age limit has also been included in the provision of ten percent reservation for EWS category. The Haryana government has made a provision of relaxation of five years in the age limit in police recruitment to candidates belonging to Economically Weaker (EWS) category. Currently, the minimum age for a police job in Haryana is 18 years and the maximum age is below 25 years.

Age relaxation For EWS Candidates

Announcing this in the Legislative Assembly on Thursday, Chief Minister Khattar said that the state government has implemented the provision of reservation of ten per cent in government jobs for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) on the pattern of the Center. Candidates of the economically weaker section had no age relaxation in police jobs till now. But now it has been decided to give five years exemption in recruitment to the candidates of economically weaker sections.

The bill giving 75% reservation in the private jobs of the state to the people of Haryana was also passed in the Haryana Legislative Assembly on Thursday. After this bill is passed, the youth will no longer have to wander to other states for employment.
