The students have filed a PIL with the help of their lawyer Dheeraj Wankhede as the exam was scheduled in the state amidst the COVID 19 pandemic. The petitioners have stated that conducting offline examination at the time of this epidemic is inappropriate. The petitioners further stated that Chhattisgarh MDS and BDS offline examinations can infect students with COVID 19 on a large scale. Based on this, he has urged the High Court to take necessary decisions and postpone offline examinations.

A single bench of Justice P. Koshy has ordered a stay on the university’s decision to conduct the MDS and BDS examinations. The Chhattisgarh High Court had issued a notice to the university and sought a response in the case. The hearing of the mode and the date of examination will be on 7 June 2021.
