The Punjab government has approved more than 4,000 posts of doctors and paramedical staff, including technicians, staff nurses, pharmacists, ophthalmic officers, medical/mental social workers, operation theater assistants, etc.
The Department of Medical Education and Research of Punjab said that the examination would be conducted to recruit more than 4,000 health workers, including doctors and nurses.
The official spokesperson said that examinations of its various courses would be conducted for the current session. The university had already notified the schedule of examinations for various courses related to health sciences.
To overcome the shortage of doctors in government hospitals, the responsibility of recruiting medical and paramedical staff has been given to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. The university will conduct examinations for recruitment to these posts.
The Chancellor of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences has been asked to conduct these examinations at the earliest.
