The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited applications from interested applicants for the country’s prestigious Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2021. Through this exam, this time around 712 vacancies will be filled in various departments. Significantly, thousands of students from all over the country take this test every year. This time, the Preliminary Examination will be held on 27 June 2021. For the time being, only the forms of prelimation examination will be filled. Examination centers will be made at a total of 73 places across the country for the Preliminary Examination. At the same time, centers will be made at 24 places for the Men’s Examination. Interested candidates can apply online till 6 pm on 24 March 2021.

How will the exam plan
The Civil Services Examination will have 2 stages. The Civil Services Preliminary Examination will be conducted in the first stage. This will be an objective type test. Negative marking will also be done on wrong answers in this examination. Candidates who pass this exam will have to take the Mains exam. The second stage will be Civil Services (Mains) Examination. This will include written exams and interviews. Currently, applications have been called for Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination only. After this, applicants who have qualified for the Civil Services (Mains) Examination will have to apply again.

What is merit
Applicants must be Indian citizens. In addition, the applicants should not be less than 21 years of age on August 1, 2021 and 32 years or more. SC and ST applicants will be given a maximum age relaxation of 5 years, OBC applicants will be given a maximum relaxation of 3 years. According to the educational qualification, applicants must have a valid university degree. Qualified applicants will be allowed 6 attempts in the exam. However, there will be no limit to the efforts for SC and ST category applicants. At the same time, OBC class applicants will be allowed 9 attempts. If an applicant has been appointed for IAS or IFS in the earlier examination and is a member of that service, then he will not be considered eligible for the Civil Services Examination of 2021.

All other applicants can deposit this fee in any branch of SBI through cash or through Visa / Master / Rupees / Credit / Debit card or SBI’s Internet banking. Applications can be withdrawn from 31 March 2021 to 6 April 2021 before the application link is disabled.
