What is the Madhya Pradesh Prastuti Sahayata Yojana?

The state government has issued guidelines regarding the Chief Minister’s Labor Service (Maternity Assistance) Scheme-2020 (MMPSY). This scheme for unorganized laborers registered in all rural and urban areas of the state has become effective from April 1, 2018.

Under this, the registered unorganized working women will be reimbursed for the economic loss due to being absent from work during maternity. The objective of this scheme is to identify high-risk early pregnancy, safe delivery, vaccination of pregnant and child after birth, cash incentive for women and child health, and creation of a favorable environment.

What amount will be given in Prastuti Sahayata Yojana?

Under the scheme, an amount of Rs 16 thousand will be given in two installments. The first installment of 4 thousand rupees will be given during prenatal check-up by the doctor or ANM during the last quarter in the prescribed period during pregnancy.
The second installment of 12 thousand rupees will be given after delivery in the government hospital, institutional registration of the newborn after birth, and after giving the child zero dose, VGC, OPD and HPV vaccination.
The eligible beneficiaries of Janani Suraksha Yojana of the Central Government operated in the state will also get the benefit of this scheme. On the first pregnancy, the eligible beneficiary will be paid Rs 3 thousand as the first and second installment under the Pradhan Mantri Matri Vandana Yojana.
The remaining amount of one thousand rupees will be provided to the beneficiary under Mukhyamantri Shramik Sewa Maternity Assistance Scheme. On the second pregnancy, the entire amount of the first installment of 4 thousand rupees will be paid to the beneficiary from the Prastuti Sahayata Yojana.
In the first maternity Pradhan Mantri Matwandana Yojana, the third installment will be able to take an amount of two thousand rupees after completing the first vaccination cycle of the infant within the prescribed period.
The benefit of the scheme will be given to pregnant women and maternities above 18 years of age, registered unorganized women workers.

Eligibility for Prastuti Sahayata Yojana.

Maternity assistance will be available only on delivery in the government hospital and on delivery with a maximum of two live births.
To take benefit of the beneficiary, registration card of unorganized women laborer or registration number informed by him, certificate of delivery in government health institution, ANM certificate of delivery of maximum two live births, maternal and child safety card, Aadhar card A photocopy of the pass-book of the relevant bank account will have to be submitted.
The amount will be credited to the eligible beneficiaries in the Aadhaar linked bank account.
