The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited applications from interested and eligible candidates for the Indian Economic Service Examination (IES) 2020. Candidates who have not yet applied can go to the Commission’s website on September 1, 2020 (till 6 pm). After applying, the candidates who wish to withdraw the application will be provided online facility from 8 to 14 September (till 6 pm). Applications have been invited for a total of 15 posts for IES 2020 this year. One of these posts has been reserved for differently abled candidates. The UPSC IES Exam 2020 will be held on 16 and 18 October 2020 with the Indian Statistical Service.

Age range
The minimum age of application is 21 years and maximum age is 30 years. SC / ST will be given relaxation in upper age limit.
Educational Qualifications
The application is mandatory to be a postgraduate in Economics, Applied Economics, Business Economics, Econometrics from a recognized university in the country.
Application fee
Candidates will have to pay 200 rupees as application fee. All categories of women candidates and SC, ST and differently abled applicants will not be charged.
exam
Applicants must pass a written examination for selection. If successful, 200 marks interview will be done. General English and General Studies papers will be the same for both the Indian Economic Service and the Indian Statistical Service.
