Candidates who wish to apply for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) can apply online through the official site of CBSE CTET ctet.nic
CBSE has released the official bulletin for CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test). Applying in one paper is expensive, this exam will be conducted in 112 cities across the country in 20 (twenty) languages. Check the important dates given below.
Candidates wishing to apply for the examination will have to pay Rs 1000 / -, if only for Paper I or II belonging to General / OBC category and Rs 1200 / – for both Papers I and II. SC / ST / PH category candidates will have to pay Rs 500 only for Paper I or II and Rs 600 / – for both Paper I and II. For more related details, candidates can visit the official site of CBSE CTET.
To apply online for the CTET 2020 exam, candidates have to follow the steps given below:
- On the official website, ie ctet.nic.in
- Click on the online application link
- Enter the required credentials and note down the registration number
- Upload scanned images of latest photograph and signature
- Upload digital signature and scanned images in the prescribed format
- Pay via internet banking or debit/credit card
- Download and take a printout of the application form for the future

CTET 2020 Exam Pattern
CTET is an assessment test for a person who becomes eligible for a teacher position. The CTET exam is divided into two papers:
- Paper I: Primary Stage (for classes 1 to 5) teachers
- Paper-II: Primary Stage (for class 6 to 8) teachers

The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the 14th edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on 5 July. The examination will be conducted in twenty languages in 110 cities across the country. Detailed information about the exam, syllabus, language, eligibility criteria, exam fee, exam city, and important dates are available on the official website of CTET, www.ctet.nic.in.
Interested candidates are requested to download the information bulletin from the above website only and read it carefully before applying. Interested candidates only have to apply online through the CTET website www.ctet.nic.in. Online application process starting from 24 January 2020. The last date for submission of online application is 24 February 2020 and the fee can be paid till 27 February 2020.

The following persons are eligible to appear in CTET.
The minimum qualification to become a teacher for CTET 2020 class I-V: Primary stage
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or passed in the final year of 2-1 Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name)
or
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 45% marks and appearing or passing in the final year of Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name is known) as per NCTE (Recognition Criteria and Procedure) Regulations, 2002.
or
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed in final year or 4- Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
or
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and appearing or passing in the final year of 2- Diploma of Education (Special Education) *.
or
Graduation and appearing or passing in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
The minimum qualification to become a teacher for CTET 2020 class VI-VII: Primary stage
Graduation and appearing or passing in the final year of the 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
or
Graduation with at least 50% marks and appearing or passed in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
or
Graduates with at least 45% marks and passed 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) as per NCTE (Accreditation Criteria and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
or
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) in the final year of 4- year.
or
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and appearing or passing in the final year of 4-A / B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed
or
Graduates with at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (special education)*.
or
Qualified B.Ed. NCTE-accredited programs are eligible to appear in TET / CTET. In addition, videography aired on NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, as per existing TET guidelines, a person who is recognized by the teacher education course (NCTE or RCI, as the case may be) is specified in the NCTE notification.
