According to the result released by the Bihar Police Under Service Commission, 15231 candidates for the post of Daroga, Sergeant and Assistant Jail Superintendent have been declared successful for the physical efficiency test. Earlier, about 50 thousand 76 candidates were declared successful for BPSSC Daroga, Sergeant Assistant Jail Superintendent Recruitment Prelims Exam.
Of these, 15231 candidates have been declared successful for PET out of which candidates appeared in the main examination. According to the recruitment notification issued by the Commission, a total of 2446 posts are to be appointed.
Let me tell you that 453 candidates have been declared successful by the Commission for the ex-servicemen quota for 42 posts of Assistant Jail Superintendent. These will now only be document verification. They will not be called for physical efficiency test.
It is noteworthy that BPSSC conducted the main examination for recruitment to the posts of Daroga, Sergeant and Assistant Jail Superintendent on 29 November 2020. A total of 47987 candidates appeared in the main examination. Out of these, merit list was prepared from among the candidates scoring more than 30 percent marks. The successful candidates in the main examination include 9924 male and 5307 female candidates. In the general category, the cutoff for men was 75.8 percent while the cut off for women was 61.9 percent.
