Applicant should be 10th pass. The applicant should have Mathematics and English as a subject in class 10th. Apart from this, the applicant should also have studied the local language in class 10th. The applicant must have knowledge of the local language. Hindi has been considered as the local language in the Uttar Pradesh circle.

Age Range: The minimum and maximum age for GDS posts will be 18 and 40 years respectively, as on 23.09.2021, the date of notification of vacancies. The permissible relaxation in upper age limit for different categories is as follows:-
Age Relaxation: SC & ST Category 5 Years & OBC-NCL Category 3 Years, PwD- 10 Years, PwD+ OBC- 13 Years, SC/ST+ PwD- 15 Years

Uttar Pradesh Post Office Recruitment Selection Process:
Cycling is a prerequisite for all GDS posts. In the case of the candidate having knowledge of riding a scooter or a motor cycle, which may be considered as the knowledge of cycling. The candidate will have to submit a declaration to this effect.
Selection will be on the basis of 10th marks. No weightage will be given to higher education marks. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of 10th marks only. If any two applicants have the same marks, then the older applicant will be given preference.
India Post Gramin Dak Sevak Application Fee:
OC/OBC/EWS male applicant should pay a fee of Rs.100/-. 100/- (Rupees one hundred) for each set of five options. The candidates who have to make the payment have to visit any Head Post Office or other identified Post Offices in India. However, fee payment is exempted for all female candidates as well as PwD candidates. They can directly apply online through the link given in the website.
