SSC CPO Selection Process – The selection process for SSC CPO exam will include a written examination, physical proficiency test, personality test / interview and medical examination. These four steps can be elaborated as follows: –

1. Written exam
2. Physical endurance test
3. Personality test / interview
4. Medical examination

A. Written Examination Written examination is the first stage of selection. The marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination will be the basis for the candidates for the second phase, which is the Physical Endurance Test (PET).

B. Physical Endurance Test- All candidates who have cleared the written examination must face the Physical Endurance Test (PET).

C. Personality Test / Interview – Those candidates who qualify in Paper I of Written Examination, PET and Paper II of Written Examination will be called for personality test / interview based on their combined performance in Paper-I and Paper-II.

D. Medical Examination- Candidates who pass PET will be called for medical examination and will be medically examined by any other Medical Officer or Assistant Surgeon’s Medical Officer belonging to Grade I of a Central / State Government Hospital / Dispensary.

After approving all the stages, the candidates will be appointed by the Governing Authority to the post of Sub Inspector.
